Pizza for One

Dough

Ingredients

5-1/4 cups flour
6 teaspoons sugar
3 cups cake flour
4-1/2 teaspoons table salt
3-3/4 teaspoons instant yeast
3 cups warm water
Olive Oil

Directions

  1. Add warm water in a glass measuring cup and add instant yeast and dissolve.
  2. Add flour, sugar, cake flour, and table salt into a small bowl and mix well.
  3. Slowly add the water/yeast mixture. Continue to process until dough forms satiny, sticky ball – about 2 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle half of the measured flour on the cutting board and spread it around.
  5. Remove the dough from the food processor and divide the dough into 2 large, smooth balls. Place the balls at least 3 inches apart. Cover the balls loosely with plastic wrap and set to rise.

Toppings

1 green pepper
1 red pepper
1 can black olives
Mushrooms
1 onion
1 tomato
1 pineapple
Pepperoni
2 chicken breasts
Sausage
Grated cheeses

Sauces

* BBQ Sauce
* Marinara Sauce
* Alfredo Sauce

Directions

  1. Take dough out of refrigerator.
  2. Preheat oven to at least 500 degrees.
  3. Dust dough with flour and add more dough to the surface of the cutting board. Press one ball so that you form an 8 inch disk and use flattened palms to stretch the 8 inch disk into a 12 inch circle.
  4. Lightly flour a pizza stone and transfer the dough to the stone.
  5. Brush olive oil on dough.
  6. Measure tomato/BBQ/Alfredo mixture and spread on dough leaving ½ inch border around the edge.
  7. Place the pizza stone in the oven and bake for about 5 minutes.
  8. Add cheese and toppings onto the pizza (spread evenly).
  9. Return pizza to the oven and cook for 5 more minutes.

Serves 12-16
